Albert C. Zeiner, 45, roofer and slater, died attempting to save Charles P. Sullivan, 7, from electric shock, Burlington, Vermont, September 7, 1912. Charles came in contact with a dangling guy wire that had fallen upon an electric wire carrying a heavy voltage, and he was thrown to the ground with the wire in his hand. His mother ran to him, grasped him, and was knocked down. Zeiner ran to the wire and caught it with a pair of steel pliers. He uttered a groan and toppled over, falling partly on top of Charles. Both were pulled away from the wire by means of straps and rubber hose. Charles was revived three hours later. He was seriously burned. Zeiner was dead. 9174-721
