Albert H. Croyle died attempting to save Brayton R. Fletcher from drowning, Alma, Arkansas, June 12, 1919. Croyle, 42, bookkeeper, ran over 300 feet and swam 35 feet from the island to Brayton at about the time Jerome got free. He took hold of Brayton, but Brayton put both arms around him, and both sank and were drowned. (See case of JEROME B. JOHNSTON.) 22062-1749
