Challen A. West, 37, express agent, assisted in an attempt to save W. Hampton Arrasmith, 30, painter, from electric shock, Cincinnati, Ohio, August 7, 1911. (See case of ARVEY N. FLORENCE.) West climbed a pole to the girders and, with a rope, helped Florence and another man in their efforts to save Arrasmith. He received three shocks, the last of which knocked him backward. His head struck a girder, which prevented him from falling to the ground. He assisted in jerking Arrasmith from the wires and lowering him to the ground. 7436-665
