Charles W. Burrows, 53, chief foreman, saved John M. Morehouse, 15, student, and Carlton E. Brown, 19, sstudent, and attempted to save Albert A. Slaline, 21, huckster, from drowning, Miamiville, Ohio, July 4, 1919. (See case of ALBERT A. SLALINE and case of CARLTON E. BROWN.) Burrows swam 125 feet and took John from Slaline and later separated Slaline and Brown. Slaline grasped Burrows, and they sank. Burrows broke away and pushed Slaline to the surface ahead of himself. Slaline grasped him again with like result, and he took Burrows under for the third time. Burrows pushed him upward and rose to the surface, but Slaline did not appear. Burrows then swam about 50 feet and was exhausted when he reached the bank. 19991-1554
