Charles W. Zimmerman, 46, barber, sustained fatal injuries attempting to save an indeterminate person or persons from a runway, Lewistown Junction, Pennsylvania, December 12, 1912. Zimmerman ran after a runaway horse, which was going at a rapid gait toward a building from which schoolchildren were being dismissed. He reached for the bridle, but the horse trampled on him, and he fell under the wheels of the wagon to which the horse was hitched. He sustained injuries, which resulted in his death four days later. 9622-827
