David Waterman, 63, crossing watchman, died saving Margaret Weber, 67, from being run over by a train, Rochester, New York, December 12, 1905. The woman was standing on the westbound passenger track, unaware of a fast-approaching train, waiting for a train on the eastbound track to pass. Waterman shoved her between the two tracks but was himself struck by one of the trains. Mrs. Weber was unhurt. 767-124
