Donald W. Robinson, 15, student, saved Malcolm R. Warnock, 15, student, from drowning, Weekapaug, Rhode Island, July 15, 1920. As he was swimming in the Atlantic Ocean 160 feet from shore, where the water was five feet deep, Malcolm got into difficulty on account of an unusually rough condition of the water. There were waves three or four feet high, a heavy undertow, and a strong cross current, and Malcolm was carried 15 feet farther from shore. Donald swam 40 feet to Malcolm, who was frantic and made a motion as though to grasp Donald around the neck. Donald pushed Malcolm away, then took hold of him and swam with him with great difficulty a distance of 35 feet toward shore, being moved back and forth by the waves as he swam. They then waded to shore. 20657-1798
