Edward Cohagen saved Pauline H. Motley from being killed by a train, Overton, Texas, July 6, 1920. Pauline, 3, started to cross a track on which a train was approaching at a speed of 15 m.p.h. When she saw the train, she stopped in the middle of the track, panic stricken. Cohagen, 33, mail carrier, ran about 30 feet to Pauline, stooped and caught her under the arms, and continued running across the track, clearing it when the locomotive was about five feet from him. 20550-1739
