Edward S. Saunders, 57, baggage master, died attempting to save Ann E. Stone, 77, and Hannah C. Colyer, 60, from being run over by a train, Elizabeth, New Jersey, April 16, 1911. Saunders sprang upon the track, at night, in front of a rapidly approaching passenger train, and, just as he attempted to catch hold of one of the women, both of whom had stepped upon the track, the train struck the three.
