Frances H. Ullock, 14, schoolgirl, saved Wenonah R. Shields, 20, from drowning, Chatham, New Brunswick, August 27, 1924. (See case of ROLAND M. ROBERTS.) Almost fully clothed, Frances waded and then swam about 30 feet to Miss Shields, reaching her soon after Roberts had sunk. She took hold of Miss Shields and swam 20 feet with great difficulty toward the bank. They were met by a man with a boat and were taken to the bank. Frances was tired and winded. 25397-2298
