Frank Faulkner, 28, miner, helped to save Dennis Lynch, 53, repairman, and Stephen Hogan, 57, pumpman, and assisted in an attempt to save Michael L. Belangie, 33, miner, from suffocation, Butte, Montana, January 14, 1911. Faulkner was one of a party of four men, among whom was Belangie, who made two trips to the pump station on the 1,000-foot level in search of Lynch and Hogan, who had been overcome by smoke from a fire in the mine. On the second trip, Belangie was overcome. Faulkner and the others went on and rescued Lynch and Hogan. Descending a third time, Faulkner and three others located Belangie. When gotten out, about 10 minutes after the rescue of Lynch and Hogan, Belangie was dead. Lynch and Hogan were revived. 6653-533
