Frank H. Terry, 14, student, saved Fred C. Claus, 17, laborer, from drowning, Paulsboro, New Jersey, July 14, 1908. When Fred, who could not swim, abandoned a log on which he had floated 80 feet from shore in the Delaware River, Frank went to his aid and, after being grabbed and taken under once, swam eight feet with him. Unable to swim farther, Frank supported Fred until a boat reached them. 2803-293
