Fred A. Brewin, 28, factory hand, saved John L. Brock, 28, insurance company investigator, from drowning, Northboro, Massachusetts, June 25, 1921. As Brock was swimming across Solomons Pond, he was seized with cramp and became helpless in deep water 90 feet from the bank. Brewin, who was in poor health and was dressed, swam from wadable water 80 feet to Brock, and Brock immediately grasped his clothing. They went under the surface, and Brewin freed himself. When they rose, Brewin took hold of Brock, who had become unconscious, and swam with him 85 feet to wadable water. Brewin reached the bank greatly fatigued. Brock was revived. 22018-1910
