Gabriel Farrell, Jr., 20, student and boatman, attempted to save Morris Rinnig, 15, and Morris Stalinsky, 17, from drowning, Boston, Massachusetts, August 18, 1906. Farrell jumped into the Charles River and swam to the two boys, who were struggling together. He was seized by Stalinsky and rendered helpless, but both were later rescued. Rinnig reached safety himself, after getting free from Stalinsky. 1029-111
