Guy A. Dunlop, Jr., helped to save Harry N. Phillips, Jr., from drowning, Urbanna, Virginia, June 20, 1931. Dunlop, 27, architect, who was almost fully clothed, swam 100 feet to Phillips, 32, lawyer, and Ryland. With great difficulty he supported Phillips for about seven minutes and was carried by the current more than 100 feet, being submerged repeatedly in his efforts to keep Phillips at the surface until the launch was brought to them. He was temporarily exhausted. (See case of WILBUR H. RYLAND.) 31318-2627
