Hal M. Souter, 20, student, died attempting to save Theresa Miller, 22, from drowning, Harbor Springs, Michigan, August 8, 1913. (See case of ARTHUR E. COOK.) Souter swam to Miss Miller immediately after Cook and struggled with her. Other men swam out, and one tried to help Souter get Miss Miller toward shore. Souter was drowned. 11572-909
