Helen May Dorr, 14, schoolgirl, saved Robert R. Paul, 3, from being killed by a train, Lancaster, New Hamphire, May 28, 1922. Robert was playing on a track as a train approached at a speed of 25 or 30 m.p.h. Seeing him, Helen ran 120 feet to a point on the track and grasped Robert when the train was only 20 feet from them, its speed having been reduced to 10 m.p.h. She then stepped off the track with Robert, just clearing the locomotive. 23224-1931
