Henry Rosen saved Trevor C. Forrester from drowning, Hollywood, Florida, July 2, 1941. While wading in the Atlantic Ocean, Trevor, 17, student, and two other youths lost their footing and drifted to water six feet deep, where Trevor submerged. Rosen, 48, building contractor, swam 80 feet to Trevor, who was then about 150 feet from shore and was unconscious. Rosen was winded but towed Trevor 60 feet to water four feet deep. He then waded, dragging Trevor 40 feet farther, but fell and lost his hold. Men aided Rosen, who was gasping and nearly helpless, to shore, where he collapsed. He revived. Trevor was pulled to shore and was revived. A man drowned attempting to save one of the other youths, who was saved by other men at the scene, and the third youth drowned. (See case of RAYMOND W. RALSTON.)
