Howard I. Davis rescued Frank L. Ramos from burning, West Haven, Connecticut, March 24, 1911. Davis, 27, lampmaker, went to the second story bedroom of a burning house and, picking the child up from a bed, carried him down the stairway, through dense smoke and flames, to a hall. He then broke open the front door and fell on the porch with Frank. Frank, 4, was badly burned and was in a hospital over three weeks. Davis was badly burned on the hands and head and was disabled seven weeks. 6517-506
