James Cooper attempted to save James B. Haggerty, 43, repairman, and Herman Tack, 53, assistant foreman, from suffocation, Detroit, Michigan, December 24, 1926. Cooper, 30, repairman, who disregarded the warning of a foreman of the danger of entering the tank, was roped and descended a ladder into the tank. As he reached the bottom, he was overcome and fell.
