Moore, 31, watchmaker, swam to her, towed her five feet toward the bank, and then suffered cramp and released her. Mrs.Ware sank. Burnette, 35, lineman, who was clothed, then swam 50 feet to Moore, who struggled violently with him, Burnette being submerged twice. Burnette was fatigued and called for help. He then got hold of Moore, who was greatly weakened, and towed him to the bank. Dazed and nauseated, Burnette swam 60 feet to Mrs. Ware, lowered himself under the surface, and got hold of her.
