James M. Waters saved Agassiz B. Walker from being killed by train, Morrisonville, Illinois, February 24, 1920. Walker, 46, station agent, stood on a track on which a passenger train was approaching at a speed of about 50 m.p.h. Walker was unaware of its approach as he was intent on handing an order to the conductor on the rear end of a freight train passing on an adjoining track. When the passengertrain was 200 feet from Walker, Waters, 53, drayman, ran 15 feet to the middle of the track, grasped Walker from behind, and lifted him back off the track an instant before the train passed. 20293-1711
