Jody V. Hallin

Jody V. Hallin helped to rescue Stefan Rubrich from burning, Mount Clemens, Michigan, December 16, 1975. When fire in his mobile home caused dense smoke, Rubrich, 80, was overcome and fell to the floor in the living area of the trailer. Hallin, 24, water plant operator, and a fellow worker were attracted by the flames. Hallin, with a water-soaked shirt over his head, followed the other man, who had a jacket over his head, and crawled into the smoke-filled trailer. They reached Rubrich. Together, Hallin and his fellow worker dragged Rubrich out of the mobile home, which soon afterward was completely filled with flames. Rubrich recovered from burns he had sustained.
