Jean Baptiste Vautour was a graduate in engineering from St. Francis Xavier and McGill universities. He worked as a civil engineer for many years, even after his retirement from public service.
Vautour died on Sept. 14, 2018. He was the husband of Ann Marie (nee Sullivan) for 60 years.
Passionate about scouting, he was a scout and venture leader for many years. A longstanding member of Rotary International, he often was involved in fundraising for families in need. He was active in civic and local affairs in Aylmer, Que., for many years and was named Citizen of the Year for 1987.
