Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved John G. “Papa” Patrick on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at University Hospital of Cleveland.
John was born in Brookfield, Ohio on October 16, 1940, to Steve and Pauline (Friga) Patrick.
John attended Vienna High School in Vienna Ohio.
He served six years in the Army National Guard where he was awarded the Carnegie Medal by the Carnegie Hero Fund Commission in 1962.
John was also the owner and operator of Patrick Service in Vienna, Ohio.
John married the love of his life, Gail (Witherow) Patrick, on January 17, 1961. They spent just shy of 60 years together when she passed away on January 6, 2021.
John loved, more than anything, spending time with his grandchildren and watching them grow. He also enjoyed fishing, gardening, cooking, the outdoors and motorsports.
John leaves behind to cherish his memory, a daughter, Karri (Kimberly) of Vienna; a son, Steven (Michelle) of Vienna; a brother, Andy (Judy) and two grandchildren, Justin and Brooklyn.
John was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, four brothers and one sister.
