John James Sullivan, 33, driver, died attempting to save Charles R., 7, and John H. King, 6, from drowning, Indianapolis, Indiana, March 2, 1920. Charles and John broke through the ice on Fall Creek 125 feet from the bank and fell into the water. Sullivan ran 800 feet to the bank and started walking on the ice toward them. When he was 15 feet from the bank, he suddenly broke through the ice and sank. All three were drowned. 20282-1603
