Joseph B. Lippincott saved Ella J. M. Goho from being killed by a train, Montandon, Pennsylvania, January 31, 1925. Mrs. Goho, 64, stood on a track, unaware that a train was approaching on it at a speed of 33 m.p.h. Lippincott, 25, student, ran upon the track and seized Mrs. Goho by the arm when the train was 30 feet from her. He lifted Mrs. Goho from her feet as he stepped backward from the track, the train being eight feet away when they cleared the track. 25036-1976
