Joseph Grady, 17, student, saved Arthur E., 4; Everelda G., 3, and Gertrude L. Dockstader, 2, from burning, New York, New York, January 15, 1907. Joseph, by way of the roof and fire escape, entered a room filled with smoke, on the fifth floor of a six-story apartment house, and carried the three children, one at a time, up the fire escape, which was being licked by the flames, to the roof, and then led them to the ground through the building. 1551-118
