King Upton, 48, company vice president, saved Francis A. Low, 74, private secretary, from drowning, Duxbury, Massachusetts, September 18, 1910. Upton, fully dressed, jumped from a yacht, at night, and swam to Low, who had fallen overboard and was nearly unconscious in the main channel of Duxbury Bay, where the water was over 20 feet deep. He was unable to progress against the tide but supported Low for 15 minutes, when a boat reached them. 6434-586
