Lena Edna Bellus saved Donald T. Goodwin from being killed by a train, Adrian, Michigan, July 16, 1925. Donald, 2, pulled his small wagon onto a track, on which a train was approaching at a speed of 15 m.p.h., and sat down on the wagon. Miss Bellus, 37, teacher, ran 160 feet to the track, stepped between the rails, grabbed Donald, and stepped back from the track, clearing it by eight feet as the locomotive passed them at undiminished speed. 25529-2148
