Louis H. Comegys helped to save Charles Davies and assisted in an attempt to save an unidentified man from an explosion, Baltimore, Maryland, March 7, 1913. (See case of WILLIAM E. VAN DYKE.) Comegys, 33, marine fireman, was a member of Van Dyke’s crew. He did not join in the appeals to Van Dyke not to go to the rescue, but remained at his post. When the explosion occurred, he was so badly injured that he was disabled 49 days. 10336-1063
