Louise J. Elliot saved Walter P. Pruden from being struck by a train, Coronation, Alberta, September 2, 1981. Pruden, 92, stood on a railroad track as a train approached. Mrs. Elliot, 36, nurses aide, ran 150 feet to the track, where she stepped between the rails, seized Pruden by the arm, and pulled him away. The locomotive passed within a few feet as they stumbled away.
