M. Columbus Sisco died assisting in an attempt to save Harry A. Bohrer, 35, laborer, from suffocation, Quinton, Oklahoma, August 11, 1924. (See case of JAMES H. STORY.) Sisco, 49, smelter, accompanied Story 300 feet through the main entry to Bohrer. He then was affected by the gas and turned to leave the mine. He was overcome before he had gone more than 50 feet, and he was dead when taken out of the mine three hours later. 24977-2006
