Maxwell H. Fellows helped to save Davide Introini from drowning, Framingham, Massachusetts, April 9, 1977. When his canoe capsized in the Sudbury River, Introini, 24, was held by the current in an area of turbulence below a low dam. Fellows, 71, launched a flat-bottomed aluminum boat and rowed into the turbulent area, where his craft capsized and threw him into the cold water. He swam to Introini and supported him until firemen threw a line by which both men were pulled to safety.
