Michael P. O’Brien, 23, plasterer, saved Bessie Eyl, 30, and her two children, 3 and 3 weeks, from suffocation, New York, New York, May 14, 1904. O’Brien, from a third-story window of an adjoining house, climbed, on window caps, over to a window in the room occupied by Mrs. Eyl and the children, went into the room through dense smoke, and carried them to windows.
