Raymond I. Coldren, 36, foreman of linemen, rescued Clark Trump, 27, lineman, from electric shock, Uniontown, Pennsylvania, January 14, 1911. Coldren ran to the assistance of Trump, who was unconscious and was held by his safety belt and spurs to a pole, near its base. A current of 8,160 volts was passing through the pole. Coldren grasped Trump’s clothes and tried to pull him away from the pole but was rendered unconscious and hurled against a nearby fence. He made a second attempt but was again rendered unconscious and thrown to the middle of the street. At the third attempt, he succeeded in pulling Trump away from the pole.
