Terrance H. Creelman died after attempting to save Glenn K. Watts from drowning, Dunnville, Ontario, June 27, 1973. Glenn, 12, fell off a low dam into turbulent water in the Grand River and, unable to swim, called for help. Creelman, 28, fabric factory worker, dived from the dam into the water, reached Glenn, and began towing him back toward the dam. Both went under briefly and then became separated. Creelman sank and drowned; and a high school student swam to Glenn. They were submerged twice, and only the student than reappeared. Efforts to locate Glenn were unsuccessful. His body and that of Creelman later were recovered.
