W. Maurice Steppacher, 25, manufacturer, assisted in an attempt to save Marian R. Creamer, 21, from drowning, Atlantic City, New Jersey, June 20,1915. (See case of PHILIP ARNOLD, JR.) Steppacher was Arnold’s companion in the attempt to save Marian. Swimming shoreward, he became exhausted and lost consciousness. He was picked up by a boat 125 feet or more from shore.
