William D. Price died attempting to save Judith C. Moore from being killed by a train, Hartwell, Ohio, June 27, 1926. Mrs. Moore, 51, stopped her automobile on a track on which a passenger train was approaching at a speed of 60 m.p.h. When the train was less than 900 feet distant, Price, 59, crossing watchman, who was on an adjoining track, ran 20 feet to a point two feet from the rails and tried to push the automobile off the track. The train struck him and the automobile, and Mrs. Moore and Price were instantly killed. 26644-2127
